What We Believe

We believe in God, the Father almighty,

creator of heaven and earth, of all things visible and invisible.

We believe in one Lord Jesus Christ,

the only Son of God, begotten, not made; of the same essence as the Father.

Who, for us and for our salvation, became incarnate by the Holy Spirit, born of the Virgin Mary.

He suffered under Pontius Pilate, was crucified, died, and was buried.

On the third day he rose again, according to the Scriptures.

He ascended into heaven, and is seated at the right hand of the Father.

He will come again with glory to judge the living and the dead.

His kingdom will never end.

We believe in the Holy Spirit,

the Lord, the giver of life.

He proceeds from the Father through the Son, and with the Father and the Son is worshiped and glorified.

We believe that salvation is by grace alone through faith alone in Christ alone.

By His obedient life, death on the cross, and resurrection on the third day, Jesus has paid the penalty for our sins and reconciled us to the Father. And, by His Spirit, we are united to Christ, conformed to his image, and sealed until the final day of redemption.

We believe the Bible to be the inspired Word of God.

It is without error, infallible to accomplish the work for which it was purposed, and serves as the final authority for all of faith and living. All Scripture is a testimony to Christ, who is Himself the focus of divine revelation.

We believe in one holy, catholic, and apostolic church.

The church is made visible in local church families who are united in faith, love, worship, service, and mission.

We affirm two sacraments:

Baptism as an outward testimony of the believer’s union with Jesus Christ and fellowship with the body of Christ. The Lord’s Supper, which represents the body and blood of Jesus Christ and serves to remind us of the Lord’s death until He returns.

We look forward to the resurrection of the body, and to the life everlasting where sin and death will be finally defeated and we will dwell with God forever.
